2015. Wow!!!!!!

So, yeah, I'm still here. Hello reader, yes, in the singular sense - as in one person. In fact let me just go ahead and say Hi Mom, because I am pretty sure no one else is reading this. Why would you? I haven't posted for eons. However, I felt I had a duty to mankind to get back in the saddle and say waaaaaazuuuup to 2015.

Really this is just an update. Let's see what's going on with me. Well, my eldest is still fab. Getting ready to explore new territory, having almost completed the college thing. My young-un is also getting ready to graduate, high school - eek!!!!! And ...drum roll... I too am going to finally graduate from the everlasting, eternal, never-ending, doctorate. (Which may have something to do with why I have suddenly found the energy to blog again - Is it possible I may be procrastinating?)

Anyhoo, what's new since I last blogged? Let's see, we now have a new species of humankind - Kardashians (is that how you spell it?). POTUS is still a bruvva. Ooh and JLo showed more than a little boob at the Academy awards, night before last. So yeah, nothing has changed.

I still do cool stuff like:
-Grow veggies, herbs and fruit.
-Make wine (from our fruit).
-Now make beer (not from anything we grow though, so that's cheating, but delish nevertheless).
-I make this great product called "Head to Toe". Its an emollient that can be used all over and, if I say so myself, it is quite fabulous. Made my hair grow like a weed, and moisturizes like a ... well, like a really good moisturizer!!! Its base is shea butter!
-Make Jam (from our fruit).
-Make an awesome herb seasoning blend from the stuff we grow.
-I can (as in canning, not as in "I am able"  - what? someone would have been confused) and pickle everything. But the peppers, okra and carrots are in a league of their own.
-oooh, and my cucumber relish - awesome!
-raise chickens
-make jewelry


So, yeah, that's about it, I think. Haven't had time to be creative lately, so no new canvass paintings, but there is a novel ruminating in the recesses of my crammed mindspace.
