While washing up the lunch plates, I really started to get inspired, scriptures n'all. Tomorrow will mark a pretty significant milestone in my life, the youngest of my offspring will be entering into the teenage (scream-age) world. Wow! where did the time go?
I decided that tomorrow will therefore mark the beginning of a new, big and rather scary milestone for me. I do not do New Year's resolutions and goal setting has always been a very personal thing for me. However, like Ezeikiel when he was told to 'Write" I am being obiedient to what I am being inspired to do, and I likewise am going to WRITE - a lot!. So here goes:
My Decree
One year from Tomorrow, my life( and others') will be positively transformed. Here's why:
- I will have made a meaningful and significant contribution to society that will benefit people on a global scale.
- I will have completed my Doctoral Study and will have conducted a meaningful and historic piece of research.
- I will make a meaningful contribution to the world of applied Behavior Analysis
- I will inspire, educate and entertain others through my words.
- I will be a published (or soon to be) author.
- Among other contributors, an anonymous benefactor will click on my "Donate" button with a significant contribution through sheer gratitude.
- Through my faith and gritty determination I will succeed and teach others how to do this.
Anecdote:
For the last two years my DH has had a rather lengthy outgoing message on his voice mail, which I have occasionally joked about. "Honey, I just want to leave you a quick message, no time for the soliloquy today - love you though, bye!
The message encourages callers to "Make this year, their very best year, by making a goal and making it happen. Imagine that!
Today I am laying it bare, striking while the iron is hot.
ONE YEAR FROM TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 365 Days!
Feel free to join me and watch this unfold.
It starts...
(I need a name for this quest).
That's it, and now I rest.
(Kidding, I'll lose the Middle-English for now, I think my own persona is adequate)
Eek! This is Exciting!
