Day 18, 347 to go

Watching the women's bumpy downhill skiing, I think there's a proper name for this event - Mogul or something. I see there's a 35 year old woman competing. Well now I KNOW for sure that I too can compete in the olympics.  I always encourage readers and young people, (stolen of course from my DH) 'Make a goal and make it happen!" . Now I'm taking my own advice.
So, let's see what event should I start training for? Snowboarding, tobogganing, slalom! I know,  I've got it and I know I can absolutely nail this sport, in fact when I think about it I already partially have this one in the bag. In fact, I'm going to do some training right now. Just off to get my equipment. Got it! Now I'm off to train...

Whew! That was  some session! I need to sit down for a while while I get my breath back. Having swept the kitchen, I know I am on my way to becoming the world's next  Curling champion. Well, it could happen!
Maybe next they'll introduce an  event called WATCHING PAINT DRY! Common people, what is curling? Why? Who said it should be so?

Go Apolo Ohno!

That's this fella.

In action...

  1. But you have to admit it is quite fascinating watching the skill of how they make the disc curl - or have I too just got caught up with olympic fever?
